Yahoo Holds Out Against Microsoft
Posted April 10th, 2008 by adminYahoo continues to hold out against Microsoft’s buyout offers, rejecting the $31-per-share offer on Monday (04.07). Microsoft initially made the offer public on February 1, but Yahoo founder/exec Jerry Yang and chairman Roy J. Bostock wrote that the offer “substantially undervalues” the company. For its part, Microsoft has claimed that it hopes for a “friendly transaction”, but also has threatened to bypass execs and take a lesser proposal directly to the company shareholders.

"Is the biggest celebrity in the world ready to help your family?" the ad asks, with slow motion images of Obama appearing before an ecstatic crowd. It says an Obama presidency would lead to higher taxes and fewer jobs while McCain would create jobs and energy independence.
Apple Stock Rises After Reports that Jobs is Cancer-Free

Jobs told members of Apple's board that he is dealing with nutritional problems after his cancer surgery four years ago, which can lead to weight loss in some cases, the newspaper said, citing people close to him. The 53-year-old CEO appeared visibly thinner at an event in San Francisco to introduce the newest iPhone.
Google to Purchase Digg?
Posted July 23rd, 2008 by adminAccording to technology blog techcrunch.com, Google is planning to purchase the website Digg for about $200 million. The deal would make Digg part of Google's News Service.
The speculation comes after images appeared online last week suggesting that Google was experimenting with similar voting as the one used by Digg to aggregate search results.
