Many Broz, especially at the beginning of their careers, find it difficult to find time to get to the gym or keep up with the fitness regimen they kept up in their pre-Pro days. Here are ways you can squeeze physical activity into your busy schedule – while keeping the social and work life you love:

Make it a habit to bring workout clothes on business trips, and make time to work out in the hotel’s fitness center. Wake up early or stay up late. A half hour on the treadmill or elliptical will keep you feeling fresh and sharp.

Always take the stairs for trips less than six floors. If you need to go up seven flights or more, take the elevator to avoid sweating in your Pro clothes – but try to take the stairs on the way down, if possible.

If you have relative privacy in your office, buy hand weights for quick lunch time or after work sets.

Find out if your company has a gym on-site or arrangement with a local health club. You can get in workouts while also building friendships and contacts within the company. Set a target number of minutes per week that you will spend exercising. Keep track on your Blackberry, PDA, or online calendar to see how many weeks you met your target.
