Inevitably you are going to have that late night, whether because of extra work or one too many drinks. Either way you still have to get up in the morning. Rather than have the alarm go off and hit the snooze button, set your alarm to ring ten to twenty minutes later and then get up. While psychologically you enjoy that extra five or ten minutes after hitting the snooze, physically your body responds better to REM sleep. You and your body will receive more benefits from those extra minutes of uninterrupted sleep as opposed to those in-and-out five and ten minutes.
