So, we didn’t even want to bring this up. But we feel like we need to put it out there. If you are ever, we repeat, ever, in a situation in which you feel it is appropriate to pair socks with sandals, please dunk your head into a bucket of ice water, slap yourself around for a few minutes, and re-start. This combination is never, ever okay.
What if it’s a hot day? What if the socks complement the sandals? What if you can’t not wear socks? What if the shoes are Birkenstocks? Stop your questions right now. None of the above qualifiers make a socks-sandals combination palatable. At all. Socks and sandals is like orange juice and toothpaste – once combined, it’s a painful, unfortunate combination.
