Retro Watches

Like several other fashion trends, everything old is new again when it comes to telling time. Vintage watches are all the rage in fashion meccas from NYC to London to Milan. Show that you’re in the know with a retro timepiece. Classics by Rolex or Cartier are always a solid choice, but you may find real gems by searching on your own in antique shops or vintage jewelry stores. Swatch also has a classy line of timeless pieces. Modern watches for men are often broad and bulky; vintage pieces speak to a classier, more streamlined time. Watch connoisseurs will delight to find pre-Daytona watches, or timepieces made by Rolex prior to the brand’s 1967 racing-inspired model. Another choice for true Bros is the “Paul Newman,” the Rolex with the distinctive black-background, white-dial design. Newman made the style famous in the 60s by wearing it while racing or acting.

Old watches do look good…
Personally I am not a big watch guy as I am a huge fan of today's technology. But I will say that anytime I see someone sporting an old watch I give it props. Whether it's nostalgia from my childhood or just because it has that appeal, it just looks good.
Old School Kills It
Old school vintage watches just have that certain pizazz about them. I have some of my dad's old watches and even one from my grandfather. I have to admit they just look cool. I think they even look better than today's brands. Although I am inclined to think that wearing watches today is actually outdated only because of what iPhones and everything else can do today. In the end though, if you are going to wear a watch, I think vintage brings more style to the table.
My dad would be all over this
My dad is a bit old school and tries to stay away from what he calls "super technology", meaning that things like watches and alarm clocks do not need major upgrades. He has some pretty outdated stuff but what can I say, his watches do look good. As for the alarm clock, well…some things cannot be helped.
