What Color Shoes to Wear With Your Suit

When it comes to the color of shoes to wear with a suit, many of us are clueless. A good rule of thumb is, for a lighter colored suit, wear lighter shoes, and for a darker suit, wear darker shoes. Don't be concerned about wearing shoes that are the exact color of your suit. A dark navy suit goes great with black shoes. Tan shoes with a black suit, however, are not okay. As well, make sure that whatever shoes you choose are in good condition, fit well, are reasonably comfortable, and have no visible scuff marks.

No clown shoes!
If any of you guys are like me, you notice shoes. I love a good looking shoe and because I do I pay special attention to them. Mostly I just critique them in my mind but I can tell you I have seen some horrible shoe choices among my peers. If it looks bad I refer to them as my clown shoes simply because they stand out, and well they are obnoxious to me. Shoes should compliment your attire, not ruin it. So my advice is make sure you have a solid variety of shoes to mix and match depending on what suits you have. And make sure they are not scuffed or marked…that gets noticed to!
